Now this is OK if you just want to travel around for a bit before going back home and getting a regular 9-5, but if you love teaching and like the country you live in then going on like this just isn't going to work out for the long term.
You need a real solution.
The TEFL industry's solution to all this is... to tell you to pay out £3000 to get a Cambridge DELTA qualification to "take your English teaching to the next level".
The problem is, as anyone who has gone through the process of obtaining a DELTA will tell you, is that most academies or students just don't care about your £3000 Cambridge DELTA qualification. The promised increase in earnings never materializes.
The only people who benefit from your DELTA are the academies who are running the courses and whose students you'll be teaching for free as part of your course.
Some people will tell you that the way forward is just to take all your classes online.
Now that's good advice but you've still got the same problem of low paying, penny pinching students who don't value your skills, and you've still got to constantly find them.
